The terms in plain words
Trial
Pro has a 14-day free trial with no card. At the end of the trial nothing is charged unless you buy. The plugin keeps working as the free edition.
Refunds
14 days from purchase. Contact support first so we can try to help; if Strata is not for you, the refund is issued through Freemius.
Renewal
Licences renew yearly. Cancel any time from your Freemius account and the licence runs to the end of the year you paid for.
Moving sites
Deactivate a licence on one site and activate it on another from your account. A multisite network counts each site that activates Strata.
When a licence expires
Scheduled scans, alerts, the 404 log, external link checks, bulk fixes and PDF reports stop. Everything free keeps working, and your history and settings return when you renew.
Client sites
Pro is licensed per site, so each client site you manage counts toward your plan. Reports can carry your agency's name, logo and accent color instead of Strata's.
Pricing questions
Do I keep the free plugin when I buy Pro?
Pro replaces it. After checkout you download the Pro version from your Freemius account (or from the link in the plugin) and install it over the free one. Your settings, scans and history stay. If a licence lapses, the plugin keeps working as the free edition.
How many sites can I use a Pro licence on?
It depends on the tier: one site, five sites, 25 sites or unlimited sites. Licences are annual; there is no monthly or lifetime option. You can move a licence between sites from your account.
Is there a monthly or lifetime plan?
No. Every plan is annual. Pricing is per year so that updates and support are paid for the whole time you use them.
Can I use Strata Pro on client sites?
Yes. Each client site you manage counts toward your plan, and PDF reports and CSV exports can carry your agency's name and logo instead of Strata's.
Which page builders does Strata understand?
Elementor (Free and Pro) and the block editor are read in detail: templates, global colors and fonts, widgets and their links and images. Other builders are not parsed, but the code, CSS, link, conflict and media checks work on any site.
Who handles payment?
Freemius. Checkout, invoices, licence keys and renewals all run through your Freemius account, and card details never pass through this site or the plugin.
