The fixes
| Fix | What it does | Undo |
|---|---|---|
| Disable snippet | Turns off a snippet in its own plugin (WPCode, Code Snippets and the others) without deleting it. | Turns it back on. |
| Trash unused template | Moves an Elementor template, popup or synced pattern nothing uses to the trash. | Restores it, until WordPress empties the trash (30 days by default). |
| Remove unused global | Removes an Elementor global color or font nothing references from the kit. | Puts it back. |
| Add redirect | Adds a redirect for a broken address, in your redirect plugin where there is one, otherwise in Strata's own list. The home sub-path and query string are kept for subdirectory installs, and loops are refused. | Removes it. |
| Collapse redirect chain | Points the first hop straight at the final destination. | Restores the original target. |
| Replace link | Replaces a broken link in post content or Elementor data with the address you choose. | Swaps the link back inside the current content. |
| Add alt text | Sets the alt text of an image in the media library. | Clears it or restores the previous text. |
| Move unused media to trash | Moves a media file nothing uses to the WordPress trash. Strata first shows what it can and cannot check and asks you to confirm, checks for uses again just before moving it, and refuses while any use remains. | Restores it, until WordPress empties the trash (30 days by default). |
| Merge duplicates (Pro) | Points every use of a duplicate file at one kept copy, then moves the extra copies that no longer have a use to the trash. Can run again while any remain. | One Undo points each use back at its original file and restores the copies. Posts you edited since are left alone and listed. |
Where fixes run from
Select an issue and its fix button is in the What to do steps, with Ignore at the bottom of the panel. Ignored issues drop out of the scores and the Do this next list; Undo on the Activity screen brings one back. Moving a media file to the trash always opens the panel with a caveat and a confirmation, never one click from a list. No Move to trash button, for media or templates, is offered when the site's trash is turned off. With Pro you can tick several issues of the same kind and fix them together, or move several unused files to the trash; the batch appears on Activity as one row with an Undo batch button and the details of each item.
Emptying the trash
Emptying the trash is not a fix, and it is the one thing in Strata that cannot be undone. WordPress hides the Media Library trash by default, so files moved there wait until WordPress deletes them (30 days by default). Assets > Trash lists them: tick the files to delete or use Empty trash. Strata asks first and names the files, then checks each file again and keeps any that a page, a setting or builder data still uses. A permanent delete removes the file and every size of it from the server and cannot be undone, so it has no Undo button; Activity records it. This is in the free plugin.
What undo checks
Undo never overwrites a change you made after the fix. Before reversing, Strata compares a fingerprint of the post or kit with the one it saved. If nothing changed, the exact original comes back. If you edited it in between, Strata reverses only its own change inside your current content (it swaps the link back, or puts the global back) and keeps your edits. Merge duplicates skips posts you edited since and tells you which.
A fix that fails half way is logged as a partial action you can still undo. Content filters that WordPress normally applies on save are turned off around fix and undo writes, so a fix never strips markup your editor allowed.
Exports
The Report button in the header exports a CSV of the current results. With Pro it also makes a PDF report, and both can carry your agency's name, logo and accent color; the PDF is capped at 200 findings so it stays readable.
